Cities

During the Master programme students will visit  four  cities of Europe: Bilbao, Budapest, Verona and Vilnius. This information will help to get known it.

  • Bilbao

Bilbao is the heart of a metropolis with a population of more than a million people. It is the driving force of social and economic development and it is the main factor in the modernisation of the Gulf of Biscay. Ambitious architectural, and general infrastructure projects have fuelled the urban and financial regeneration of the city. The Guggenheim Museum; the Euskalduna Concert Hall and Convention Centre; the underground, built by Norman Foster; the airport, built by Calatrava; the new tram and the projects by architects such as Arata Isozaki and Cesar Pelli are all examples of the overwhelming vitality that permeates Bilbao. Situated in the Territory of Bizkaia, the city is surrounded by fertile landscapes, with forests, mountains, beaches, and steep coasts, that make Bilbao an excellent destination for any traveller.

  • Verona

Verona is the city of the most famous lovers in history: Romeo and Juliet. But Verona has much more to offer. The city’s real and multi-layered history, meanwhile, is more interesting, and apparent everywhere you turn. From the Romans to Mussolini via an unlikely 4th-century African patron saint, and the great artists and architects of the Renaissance, Verona’s streets, houses, churches and piazzas combine to tell the fascinating story of this small, but hugely significant, northern Italian city. It is one of the cities that has better preserved its artistic heritage in Italy.
